Dukes Events/Phone Ringtone

As a big Dukes of Hazzard fan I would like to know if there are any Dukes events in August/December this year or early next year in England, France or Germany. If so I would like to attend!!

Also in the KR S1 bonus pack David states that whenever anyone rings him on his home phone the theme plays as a ringtone. I would like to do this but can it be done on an Australian phone??

Has anyone thought of having the KR theme or the General Lee's dixie horn sound effect as a doorbell chime??

I have the knight rider theme as my ring tone and KITT speaking as my message alert.

I have a number of TV themes which ring when people call. For instance the Simpsons theme plays when family call. Monty Python calls when one of my mates calls, mash theme for an army buddy etc. This way I know who is ringing before I decide to answer the phone or not. The boss gets the Darth Vader march.

This is normally quite easy to do on most modern phones. On most phones what you need to do is get the audio you want to play in MP3 format and copy that to the memory of your phone. Most phones will have a USB connection. You connect this to your computer and copy the file from your computer to the phone. Then change the settings of the phone to alter the default ring-tone to that MP3 file. Many phones can set specific ring tones for people stored in your phone's address book. The specifics for how to do this will change for each brand or type of phone, but should be in the manual that came with the phone or you could also find it with a simple Google search. eg "set ringtone on samsung xyz", iphone etc.

To create an MP3 if you cannot find the file on the net you can create one with your computer and some "audio ripping" software. Virtualdub is a free windows program that will allow you so save audio from a video stream. If you have the video of the KR theme then you can save the audio from that as an MP3 to use on your phone. There are countless programs that will allow you to do the same.

If you had a friend named Devon you would set that to audio of KITT saying "Devon calling" or any other phrase.

I also have my TOMTOM GPS that has a KR theme. It displays KITT when you turn it on and it is KITT's voice giving you the Turn-by-turn instructions. One phrase it has is "in 50 meters take the freeway. Super pursuit mode. (SPM whoosh sound)."
